Chloe, Olive, Amelie & Ryder (2024 Student Leaders) with Renai Caruso (Waves of Kindness), Justine Oxley (P&C President) and Kerryn McPherson (Kin Kin State School Principal)
At Kin Kin State School, we believe leadership is about setting a positive example, supporting others, and contributing to our school community. Our Student Leaders demonstrate enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to take on responsibility.
Leadership roles give students the opportunity to develop confidence, communication skills, and teamwork. They represent our school at community events, lead assemblies, help organise activities, and act as role models for younger students.
Positions include School Captains and Sports Captains, with opportunities for other leadership roles throughout the year. All Year 5/6 students are encouraged to nominate, and selection is based on their ability to demonstrate commitment, respect, and care for others.
By providing leadership opportunities, we help our students discover their strengths, practise responsibility, and learn the value of service - skills they can carry into high school and beyond.
